Department Headquarters/Robert Nash Interpretive Center
is a museum-like structure with exhibit gallery,
auditorium, and Museum of TTU administrative offices and
Learning Center. The park has two trails. A handicapped
accessible one-mile trail, and a four-mile nature trail.
The four-mile trail meanders along the slopes and bed of
a dry, ancient river now covered with native vegetation.
Wild flowers adorn a beautiful recycled habitat for
native mammals; coyotes, foxes, butterflies and other
insects. The trail provides users solitude; a rare find
in an urban environment, with the pleasure of discovering
nature, and with a challenge for those who need or like
to walk for their well-being. The tours are self guided
through the exhibit gallery and trails. Guided tours to
archaeological sites are available by the museum staff. |
